No Make Up Make Up | Video Tutorial

Ages ago I did a blogpost on the 'No make up make up ' look . Its a perfect look if you don't want to look like your make up but want to look fresh faced & ready for the day ahead . Video is differently my favourite way of learning so I decided to put together a video tutorial with an updated 'No Make up Make Up Video ' .

Cream products have a more skin like finish & work best . As you can see in this video I used a peachy pink cream blush on my cheeks & lips and a cream highlighter . They blend in seamlessly and cant be seen sitting above the skin .

First off on the eyes I applied Mac Paint Pot to remove any discolouration (veins , redness etc ) . To brighten the eye area & to make my eyes look more awake , I applied a white eyeliner in my waterline, centre of my eyelids & under my eyebrows . I then also applied mascara and lightly applied a thin line of dark brown eyeliner to give the illusion of slightly thicker lashes .

I made sure there was zero make up on my skin by using a cleanser and a cotton pad . I then applied the moisturiser & the beauty elixir mist which really helped revive my skin .

5 Tips On Looking Well Rested

We all have those days when your eye bags look like someone punched you(Monday mornings espesically) , but its all good I got you back (and so does coffee) .  Here are some steps to looking fresh even when you feel like you could sleep for an entire week straight .

1 . White/Nude eyeliner is a god sent . Apply some to your waterline , inner tear duct under your brow bone . The redness of your waterline can make you look more tired & by applying white concealer it gives the appearance of brighter more awake looking eyes . I use NYX Cosmetics Wonder Pencil .

2 . Wash your face , its the second best way to feel well more awake in the morning (coffee being the first) . I like to use Simple Moisturising face wash .

3 . Moisturiser or Illuminate your skin . Moisturised skin looks fresh and by applying an illuminating moisturiser (something like Nars Orgasm Illuminator) it will make you look extra glowy and make you look a few years younger .

4 . Pin point concealing . If you wear foundation (bb creams or tinted moisturisers) apply it before your concealer , this way you can see what it covers then all you need is a little concealer to cover those under eye bags ,any spots or redness that are still visible after foundation . It saves you wasting concealer because if you apply it before your foundation you tend to use more . Orange concealer is the opposite of blue & will eliminate any blue/purple under eye bags . You would apply a small amount of the orange concealer before your normal concealer . Usually your under eye circles are darker in the very inner corner so apply the concealer their & then started blending it outwards . NYX Cosmetics have a dark circle salmon toned concealer . The concealer I am currently using is the LA girl Pro Conceal which literally covers everything .

5. Mascara . Mascara opens up the eyes a lot applying it to the top & bottom eyelashes will make you look like your wide awake . My favourite mascara as you all probably already know is Great Lash by Maybelline .

I am writing this as I drink a big cup of coffee at 6:30 on a Thursday morning about to go off & take my own advice and do all these things .

What are your favourite tips for looking well rested ?

'No Make Up' Make Up

This tutorial is on the 'no make up look ' , a very natural make up look that makes you look presentable , its quick and easy .

Step By Step
Step 1 : I apply a moisturiser to my face first to give my skin a natural glow.
Step 2 : I concealed under my eyes , my eyelids and any redness on my face . I used a light weight concealer so it was invisible on the skin . You could also use a bb or cc cream for natural coverage .

Step 3 : With a dark brown eye pencil I worked the eye pencil into my upper lash line , into the roots of the lashes to thicken up my lash line .

Step 4 : I applied a light coat of mascara .

Step 5 : Using and angled eyeliner brush with a brown eyeshadow I filled in my eyebrows with light strokes .

Step 6 : I applied a light brown eyeshadow to my eyelids with a fluffy blending brush.

Step 7 : With a pink lipstick I applied some to my finger and dabbed it on my lips to add a subtle tint to my lips .
Step 8 : I applied some lip balm to my lips to moisturize them  .

Step 9 : I added some cream blush to my cheeks with a stippling brush . Cream blush tends to look more natural on the skin .

Step 10 : I applied some nude eyeliner to my inner lash line to make my eyes more awake looking .

This is a very natural look but I have more creative looks coming on my blog , which are my favourite kind of make up looks to do .

Valentino Spring/Summer 2015 Make up : Barely there Make up Tutioral

I love runway make up whether its crazy & colourful or precise and beautiful . Looking at Runway pictures on Vogue.com I decided to recreate this natural no make up kind of make up that was seen on the Valentino Runway . On the Vogue website you can zoom in so I really paid attention to the detail in this look . Great everyday make up look that can be created in under 10 minutes .

Step 1 : Skin is the main focus of this look , the models skin looks matte but not overly matte where the skin looks dry . How I achieved this was by applying some face serum to my face , moisturiser then primer . This will help the foundation last long and create a barrier from my skin and the foundation .

Step 2 : I applied my loreal true match foundation (first impression blog post coming soon) using a stippling brush for and even flawless coverage . With all the moisturing products applied beneath they will make this matte foundation slightly more glowy .

Step 3 : I concealed my under eye bags.

Step 4 : Using my favourite most used 342 inglot eyeshadow ( Click here for full review on this eye shadow) which actually working perfectly because its a cool toned brown , I lightly contoured under my cheekbone . Its no Kim Kardashian contour so keep it light and natural looking .

Step 5 : On the eyes it almost looked like the models had a eyeshadow stick in a warm brown colour on the eye that the make up artist just blended out . Since I have nothing like this I used my  Inglot 342 eye shadow and blended it out then applied a little of gold eye shadow on top . The eyeshadow is not very in your face so apply a little at a time and blend .

Step 6 : Under the bottom lash line using a dense shadow brush apply some of the 342 Inglot eyeshadow , very little of it .

Step 7 : I curled my eyelashes then I applied some natural looking mascara to the top eyelashes only .

Step 8 : With a white eyeliner pencil line your waterline .

Step 9 : They models had eyebrows that where quite thick and hadn't much of and arch , I filled in my eyebrows again using my inglot eyeshadow ( sorry for over mentioning this product ) , you want to lightly fill them and at the the end of you brow create a slight arch . I used an angled eyeliner brush to create these brows.

Step 11 : For the lips I applied some rosebud Vaseline .

Step 12 : I sprayed the sides of my face with the Caudlie Beauty Elixir to give a more dewy look  .

Step 13 : I then powdered my t- zone to keep it matte  .
